Nice post. I’ve found that perfectionism is also motivated by a desire to wanting to please everyone — “if we add just this one more feature, maybe this type of person will fall in love with our product!”

But it’s always better to be something to someone, rather than everything to everyone. You can’t do the latter anyway, so you might as well focus on the former. :)
